Notorious in 30 hours
We were given the brief to become notorious in 30 hours with the possibility of winning an internship in London if successful. We decided to stage the robbery of a painting from the National Gallery of Scotland. We created a replica and filmed ourselfs removing the fake painting from a wall within the gallery and walking out. Once we uploaded the video to youtube we received 2,500 views and appeared in a number of articles.
We were astounded by the number of people who believed we had actually successfully gone through with the robery. I belive this projects biggest achievment was its ability to demonstrate art students ability to fool even the media.
